AG Gallery is proud to announce the coming back of its annual holiday art exhibition “Art In Boxes 2016”. Please visit AG Gallery and find a perfect original artwork for a gift to someone special. This is the only exhibition AG Gallery presents that you can take the work with you before the exhibition closing day. We wish you all a happy warm holiday.  We look forward to seeing you at the gallery enjoying this one of the largest group exhibitions with many talented exciting artists from AG Gallery.

 

What is ART in BOXES?
“ART in BOXES” is a large group exhibition which shows/sells one of a kind artworks for ideas of the holiday gifts at affordable prices. AG Gallery exhibits about a hundred of art pieces every year by more than 30 artists from all over the world. The curator selected small to large art pieces which would be great for the holiday gifts. Artworks that are included in this show are paintings, sculptures, prints, collages, artist books, ceramics, potteries, greeting cards and postcards, accessory and jewels and many more handmade pieces. This is the great opportunity for that if people are looking for extraordinary holiday gifts this year or would like to give something special to someone special.

General AG Gallery Hours are noon to 8pm

Between 12/19 ~ 12/23, the gallery will open from 11am – 8pm

On 12/24,  the gallery is open from 11am~6pm.

AG Gallery is closed on Christmas day, December 25th.

Pick Up: Homare, Sam and more

AG Gallery proudly presents recently joined artists from Japan, HOMARE with his collection of works titled “Phenomenon of Love”, and SAM with her picture book of a curios hedgehog.

 HOMARE (b. 1989, Japan) Live and Work in Aichi, Japan.

He has been participating exhibitions at many region in Japan since 2005. This is his very first appearance outside of Japan.

 SAM (b.1985, Japan) Live and Work in Kyoto, Japan.

CoLoR” is her first picture book published in October 2013. It’s a story about a hedgehog which curious about colors other people have but he doesn’t. It tells us there are tons of different answers for a single question and various ways to live.

SES week 3 works from AG Gallery Artists

AG Gallery pleased to present works by gallery’s favorite artists from past shows at AG Gallery on the 3rd week of Summer Exhibition Series 2013. Artworks from Maria Montiel, Andrea Lauren, Tracey Long, and Hanako Sakashita are on view and available for purchase at this time.

Maria Montiel  :  an artist/graphic designer specialized in textile design, with several years of experience in the field and with clients originating from Venezuela, Canada, United States, United Kingdom, among others. Originally from Venezuela, the study of Maria stands at Madrid, but she acknowledges that much of her influence comes from Latin American with its vivid colors and organic textures. However, the Iberian metropolis also defines some sight with experimental organized chaos and neon signs. Maria, comes from a home where art and architecture were a constant stimulus and now translate into a fresh and vibrant work of varied influences, where shapes and natural colors are bi-dimensional conception.

Andrea Lauren was a New York City based artist and currently live in North Calorina, illustrator creating whimsical, colorful pieces under the studio name Paper-Sparrow. Inspired by her classical music training and a love of nature, Andrea’s art often combines these two passions. Her art has recently been featured by musicians on album covers as well as music publications. Since beginning Paper-Sparrow in 2007, the generous support of the community has been uplifting and Andrea is honored to be doing something she loves.

Tracey Long graduated in 2007 with a BA(HONS) Illustration. She has been selected for Images 32 and was shortlisted for Refresh! New Talent awards 2007 and exhibited in the Coningsby Gallery. She was selected for the Cheltenham Illustration award 2007, 2008 and 2010 and appeared in the exhibition and annual. Tracey was selected for the London Transport Museum and AOI Cycling in London competition 2010 and The River Thames competition 2011. With a love of the hand drawn her work encompasses a playful mix of animal characters in surreal and quirky guises. Her ideas and inspiration are gleaned from literature, traditional European folk art, and fairy tales. The work is made in pencil, watercolor and collage, an approach that suits the frivolous and eccentric mood that she aims for.

Hanako Sakashita is the artist who lives and works in Mashiko, Tochigi. Mashiko is known as for its pottery, called “Mashiko-yaki”. It is a traditional kiln site that is unlike some of the other older kiln sites around Japan. The town is open to newcomers whether they are potters or others with professional backgrounds in arts, science and education. In Japan craftsmen were usually born into their profession ,but in Mashiko, anyone could be a potter.

AG Gallery/About Glamour in Williamsburg would like to announce the 3rd annual Holiday Gift Art Show, “Art in Boxes 2012” by more than 30 emerging artists all from local and international. The show/shop event opens on November 23rd, 2012 and on view through Sunday, February 3, 2013.

What is ART in BOXES?
“ART in BOXES” is a large group exhibition which shows/sells one of a kind artwork for an idea of the holiday gifts at affordable price. AG Gallery exhibits about a hundred of art pieces by more than 30 artists from all over the world. The curator selected small to large art pieces which would be great for the holiday gifts, such as paintings, sculptures, prints, collages, artist books, postcards, accessory and many kind of handmade artwork pieces. This is the great opportunity for that if people are looking for extraordinary holiday gifts this year or would like to give something special to someone special.

As we have retail space along with the gallery, we do the gift wrapping easily and even take domestic/international shipping! Also, people could shop and take purchased artworks with you, which is impossible at regular art exhibition. We are always willing to help people who would like to find some great gift for holiday season, and we wish Happy Holidays for all.
