AARON PILAND | STARDUST FOR BREAKFAST
November 9 (Sat.), 2019 ~ December 1 (Sun.), 2019

AG Gallery is pleased to present Aaron Piland with his new series work “Stardust for Breakfast”, the title of the exhibition. Please visit the exhibition at AG Gallery, the show is on view from November 9, 2019 until Sunday, December 1, 2019.

Aaron Piland is an artist and illustrator based in Portland Oregon, for the past 12 years he has been one half of a collaborative art project called APAK Studio with Ayumi Kajikawa. Now Aaron is starting his own solo project.

“Stardust for Breakfast” will be a series of prints and originals translating his thoughts and feelings into color and form, like an astronaut exploring the cosmos, he rides in a ship of the imagination exploring the mysterious inner dimensions of emptiness and form, visiting abstract landscapes that melt into the vastness of space on an epic search to bring back hidden treasures and ancient memories lost in the cosmic debris of time and space.

ABOUT ARTIST

Aaron Piland is a portland based artist and illustrator who blurs the line between mind and matter. For the past 12 years he has been one half of an art project called APAK Studio, a collaborative art project with Ayumi Kajikawa based in Portland Oregon. They create rich and colorful gouache/acrylic paintings on wood featuring the utopian lives and adventures of curious little beings living harmoniously in lush fantastic environments surrounded by friendly little animals. APAK Prints are also available at AG Gallery.

Now, Aaron Piland is starting his own solo project.

Their paintings have been shown in galleries and museums in Hawaii, New York, LA, Seattle, Portland, Europe, Australia, Japan, San Francisco, and Portland.

Artist Pick Up: APAK

Where is your Spring? Ours is here, AG Gallery. Currently, many of new art prints which are perfect for your new season’s room decor are on display: the works by one of our favorite artists, APAK (Aaron + Ayumi) from Portland, OR. Most of prints were all gone in few months, so we just received some of back-in-stocks and brand new ones.

As many people love their works so far and we have been asked so many times about them, we did a brief interview with Aaron and Ayumi about them and their works.  Hope you enjoy and get the idea how their unique and sweet art pieces are created.
