After this exhibition, AG Gallery will be temporary closed for construction/renovation work. We are expecting to reopen the door in late October or early November, with a solo exhibition of Aaron Piland. The opening date of the exhibition will be announced as soon as the construction work is done.

ABOUT ARTIST

Aaron Piland is a portland based artist and illustrator who blurs the line between mind and matter. For the past 12 years he has been one half of an art project called APAK Studio, a collaborative art project with Ayumi Kajikawa based in Portland Oregon. They create rich and colorful gouache/acrylic paintings on wood featuring the utopian lives and adventures of curious little beings living harmoniously in lush fantastic environments surrounded by friendly little animals. APAK Prints are also available at AG Gallery.

Now, Aaron Piland is starting his own solo project. “Stardust for Breakfast” will be a series of prints and originals translating his thoughts and feelings into color and form, like an astronaut exploring the cosmos, he rides in a ship of the imagination exploring the mysterious inner dimensions of emptiness and form, visiting abstract landscapes that melt into the vastness of space on an epic search to bring back hidden treasures and ancient memories lost in the cosmic debris of time and space.

Their paintings have been shown in galleries and museums in Hawaii, New York, LA, Seattle, Portland, Europe, Australia, Japan, San Francisco, and Portland.
